Our Services
We have a small, cosy home and we can take up-to a maximum of 4 dogs at any one time. We are happy to feed as you normally would whether this be kibble, wet or raw, we just ask you to provide the food and instructions on their feeding routine.

We have an enclosed garden which is secure. The garden has a security camera and floodlight for our own peace of mine that we can see them in the darker months. Your dog will not be left alone at any time during their stay unless otherwise stated.

Your dog will be walked twice a day for at least twenty minutes or a longer walk which could be in a variety of locations such as days out to the beach in the warmer months, local parks and forests. If you wish for your dog to be walked off lead we will require your consent and if necessary look to hire a secure field to ensure your dog has a good amount of exercise whilst with us. This may be at an extra cost.

We enjoy socialising and like to attend breed meet ups so if your Dachshund is with us during a social meet up we will gain consent to take them with along to meet other Dachshunds.

Daycare

Before booking day care with us we will need to have a meet and greet to see how your Dachshund is with us. We can be flexible with this and book a 1 hour time slot for you to visit with your dog. Once the meet and greet is completed and our consent and information forms are submitted, we can consider booking your dog in for day care, subject to availability.

Daycare is 7am – 6pm with drop off times 7-9am and pick up times 4-6pm. There will be an additional charge of £10 per hour if pick up is late. Should you require additional times this can be discussed prior to booking.

Home Boarding

Thank you for considering our home boarding service for your dog. To ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care, we have established the following policy:

Daycare Sessions *Requirement*

Prior to being considered for home boarding, all dogs must attend a minimum of four daycare sessions at our facility. These sessions will allow us to assess the dogs behaviour, socialisation skills and compatibility with other dogs in a supervised environment.

Evaluation Process
During daycare sessions, we will closely monitor your dogs behaviour, interactions with other dogs and response to various situations. This evaluation will help us determine if your dog is a suitable candidate for home boarding and ensures that they will be comfortable and safe in a home environment.
Benefits of Daycare Sessions
Daycare sessions provide your dog with the opportunity to socialise, exercise and engage in various activities, promoting physical and mental well-being. It allows us to establish a rapport with your dog which will facilitate a smoother transition to the home boarding environment if they are considered a suitable candidate for home boarding.

Exceptional Circumstances
In exceptional cases where a dog is unable to attend daycare sessions due to health reasons or special circumstances, we may consider alternative arrangements on a case by case basis but medical records will need to support claims of special circumstances.

Reservation and Booking
We will preliminary book your dates and once your dog has completed the required daycare sessions and has been approved for home boarding, you may proceed with making a reservation by contacting us using our enquiry form. We recommend booking your dogs home boarding in advance to ensure availability.

If your dog stay is more than two nights they will have a trial stay over for one night. This is to ensure there are no issues and your dog feels comfortable in our care. This also helps them settle in a lot quicker when they are left for longer periods.

If there are multiple dogs looking for the same dates we can accommodate this however, your dog will need to attend the same daycare sessions as the others. If this is not possible due to other commitments then alternative arrangements could be made on a case by case basis.

Please don’t be offended if this does not work out at this point, we want your dog to be settled while you’re away enjoying your holiday. If we feel your dog wont settle with us, it would not be fair for them to stay.

Once we have met and we are both happy we can move forward with your booking.

Payment and Cancellations

When booking dog boarding facilities, you will be required to pay a 50% deposit. This is refundable if the booking is cancelled 72 hours prior to your dogs stay. Should you need to cancel the booking in less than 72 hours of the reservation, 25% of the deposit paid may become payable. However we understand that unforeseen circumstances arise so please do not hesitate to contact us and we may be able to reschedule your booking.

Full payment is required 24 hours prior to your dogs stay with us and I will contact you should payment not be received. Failure to pay the remainder of the booking 24 hours prior to your dogs stay, the booking will be cancelled and the 50% deposit will not be refunded.

Health and Vaccinations *Requirement*
All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations prior to attending daycare sessions and home boarding. Proof of vaccination must be provided upon booking.

Forms and Consent

Prior to your dogs stay with us, there are various forms, including consent forms, that need to be completed. Please see our ‘forms page.

On the day of arrival

Drop off is between 7-9am. We will try and accommodate times outside of this, but this will be on a case by case basis only.

If you need to drop off later in the day, please discuss this prior to booking. Please keep in mind that earlier drop offs help give your dog time to adjust to their new environment and settle in.

Please remember to bring any belongings for your dog and this includes their food. Please ensure you bring the right amount and if your dog has specific treats, please bring them too. We do not keep a stock of food but if you do forget your food please don’t worry, we will do our best to purchase this on the day, however we will expect to be reimbursed for this.
